You work the archive. Every shelf runs on a rail and only moves along it, and the order of the day has to leave in sequence: I, then II, then III.

Nothing chases you. Open an aisle from the counter to the marked spine, one shelf at a time, and take as long as you want.

Every level was solved by search before it entered the catalogue, so the shortest route is a known number and the game keeps it on screen while you play. Three stars means you matched it. Undo is unlimited and free, and so is restarting.

This demo has the first 12 levels, and it runs right here in the browser. Nothing to install.

The full version has 200 levels, and four rules that show up past the halfway mark:

  • One-way rail. Shelves with arrows only slide the way the arrow points. Once pushed, there is no going back.
  • Padlock. A sealed shelf will not move. The number on it is how many volumes still have to come out before it opens.
  • Waxed floor. On the striped tiles a shelf cannot stop: it slides through to the first solid tile.
  • Two counters. Two orders at once, each with its own sequence. Winning means delivering both.

No ads and no subscription. The game plays offline, and the network is only used if you open the store to buy.

The game is translated into six languages and picks yours from the browser.

How it was made

The code and the text were written with AI assistance. The art and audio are not AI generated: the music is from Chris "Torone" CB's Ecryme loops (CC BY 4.0), the sound effects are synthesized by a script of ours, and everything on screen is drawn in code.
